This new home for a large family on a site adjoining the beachfront in Eastbourne is currently in its developed design stage. Embracing the rare chance in Wellington to work with a flat site right next to the beach, Tse:Wallace welcomed the opportunity to exercise their planning abilities to really maximise the potential of the site within the local town planning restrictions.
A comprehensive brief was provided by the owner that together with detailed sun study's and awareness of the a great sea view informed the overall layout for the building, which also included a small pavilion guest house.
The architects' dream project was also complimented by the owners eye for detail and desire for a high quality level of finish. Tse:Wallace combined rich texture of materials with a clearly modern approach to construction detail. The aim of this project, reflected in the layout of the spaces and selection of materials, is to encapsulate the casual nature of life by the beach together with an enduring sense of quality and refinement.
